π What format will the matches be played in?
Matches will:
Be 10 minutes long
Follow RFU U7 guidelines
Be refereed by a different club and in line with age-grade rules
Focus on fun, participation and development
π’ How many matches will each team play?
The exact number of matches will depend on the final number of teams entered into the festival.
We will ensure that every team plays as many games as possible across the day. Based on expected entries, teams can anticipate playing approximately 5/6 matches.
π§ββοΈ Who referees the matches?
Each team is required to provide one suitable and experienced individual who is available to referee matches during the festival.
Referees will officiate games within their allocated group/zone. However, they will not referee matches involving their own team or club.
This approach helps ensure fair play, shared responsibility and a smooth-running schedule across all pitches.
π₯ How do groups/zones work?
Each team will be allocated to a zone, which consists of two adjacent pitches. Search for your team on the Fixtures page to find your zone.
This allows teams to remain in the same area throughout the festival, helping to minimise movement and keep the schedule running smoothly.
Zone locations can be viewed on the site plan.
In order to maximise the number of games each team plays it may be necessary to play the occasional match in a separate zone - this will be clearly displayed in the fixtures list.
π Where can I see fixtures and pitch allocations?Β
All fixtures and groups are available on the Fixtures page. Use the search to locate your team and see their schedule and pitch number.
These are live and will update automatically if changes are made on the day.
π Where can I see which matches I need to referee?
Search for your club or the team you are allocated to on the Fixtures page. It will be clearly highlighted which matches you need to officiate.
